His work with Miles Davis, jazz saxophonist David Sanborn and R&B singer Luther Vandross is legendary. Throughout the 1980s and 90s, Miller was the primary architect of David Sanborn’s career – he wrote the majority of Sanborn’s hits during this period and produced the albums that helped define a new era of contemporary jazz.
