Marc Harris – Destin
Marc Harris Bio Marc Harris has built a dynamic, multifaceted career spanning music, live performance, and creative production. Raised in Nashville, Tennessee, he began performing in local clubs while still in high school—an early immersion into the live music scene that set the foundation for decades on the road. His early work drew attention from renowned journalist Robert K. Oermann of The Tennessean, who famously dubbed Harris and bandmate Bob Watkins (Screaming Cheetah Wheelies) “Pop Teen Heartthrobs”—a label Harris jokingly attributes more to loud fashion choices than teenage fame. While attending college, Harris balanced academics with weekend touring as a member of the rock band Radio One. The group recorded an independent album with producer Brent Maher (The Judds) and performed showcases for major labels including A&M and Virgin Records. After graduation, Harris hit the road with county artists, Lee Roy Parnell (Arista), John Berry (Capitol), Victoria Shaw (Warner Bros.), and Stacy Dean Campbell (Sony). His career has taken him to iconic stages including the Grand Ole Opry and Fillmore West, with appearances on national television and in music videos. In 1996, Harris was featured in Shania Twain’s “No One Needs to Know,” and performed live on CBS’s The Road, contributing to CMT’s first official live-performance music video.
