About this event
Meeting Room A. Generative AI features are now built into many of the apps and devices we use every day, from chatbots like ChatGPT to Microsoft Copilot and Google’s AI summaries. If you’d like more control over when and how these tools show up, this workshop is for you. We’ll cover the basics of how to think about the accuracy of AI-generated information, privacy considerations, and how to turn off or limit AI features on your own devices. Please bring your own device (laptop, phone, or tablet), so you can follow along and adjust settings in real time. Attendance is limited to 12 participants, and registration is requested. Walk-ins are welcome if there is open space! About the Presenter: Tashina Ramirez is a Norfolk native and graduate of Norfolk Senior High School. Growing up in the 90s, she saw technology go from novelty to necessity. She has more than 18 years of human resources experience, including at international healthcare IT and data analytics companies, and she volunteers to help people with career services. Tashina uses AI every day to make daily tasks, dense information, and big projects more manageable, and she's here to show you how you can too.
