Making Together: Paper Weaving

Making Together: Paper Weaving

Inspired by AMFA’s installation Nathalie Miebach: Under a Restless Sky, this workshop invites families to explore rhythm, structure, and storytelling through 3-D paper weaving. Participants will experiment with color, pattern, and sculptural form as they build layered weavings that echo the movement of weather and wind. Along the way, kids and adults will discover how weaving can transform simple materials into dynamic, sculptural artworks. Making Together offers families an opportunity to come together and create. Register now to enjoy a day full of artmaking fun with your child! Nathalie Miebach: Under A Restless Sky is supported in part by The Brown Foundation, Inc. of Houston and Bank of America. This exhibition is organized by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts. The Windgate Art School is generously supported by the Windgate Foundation with additional support from Sherry Worthen in memory of George Worthen. The Windgate Art School’s Reduced Tuition Program is supported by Michael Laughter. Reduced tuition is automatically applied to all classes through 2026. Image courtesy of Jason Masters.
