About this event
Trace monotype is a versatile, low-tech method of image transferring that combines the qualities of printmaking with the immediate, direct nature of drawing. Perfect for printing without a press, this technique is characterized by expressive, fuzzy lines and tones. In this workshop, students will learn about the simple tools and methods needed for printing at home. We will explore a variety of mark making, layering and texturing techniques, and will even learn how to print ghosts. Level: Beginner—no experience necessary! Registration closes September 9, 2026 and all materials are provided. Sample image by Nicole Parker WORKSHOP SUPPLIES: Registration includes all materials—just come ready to have fun!
