Make+Take: Rainbow Words

About this event

Let’s Make+Take!—Don’t you just love a rainbow gradient? This is your chance to print with them! In this workshop you will be able to print a small edition of mini posters of a word of your choosing on one of the Vandercook Presses in the letterpress studio. We will ink up both presses in a different rainbow gradient and learn about basic typesetting with our oldest wood type. After typesetting our words, we will take them over to the presses and print them! We’ll then end the workshop with cleaning the presses together. Level: Beginner – no previous experience required. Registration closes November 25, 2026 and all materials are provided. Photo by Elisabeth Boerwinkel WORKSHOP SUPPLIES: Registration includes all materials—just come ready to have fun! MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Hannah Wang fell in love with letterpress after taking her first class at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center back in 2023. A graphic designer by trade, Hannah loves seeing how real life type locks can come together into beautiful pieces of art, as well as setting type into powerful and meaningful messages. She’s often experimenting to continue honing her craft and loves sharing the joy of letterpress with others. You can find her design and art work on Instagram at @hannahw_solariscreative.
