Make+Take: Flocked Patterns

Let’s Make+Take!—Flocking is a process that involves laying down short, thin fibers on an adhesive to create a textured velvety surface. Come and learn how to create mesmerizing colored flocked patterns and shapes in this 2 hour Make and Take! This class is great for beginners as well as advanced students who want a new technique to add to their screenprinting toolbelt. We’ll have a variety of images pre-exposed and ready to choose from and mix-and-match to maximize your printing time. Level: Beginner – no experience necessary! Registration closes September 10, 2026 and all materials are provided. Sample image by Adi Segal WORKSHOP SUPPLIES: Registration includes all the materials you’ll need for class. Students may also want to consider the following optional items: (optional) Personal apron (we’ll have extras) or wear clothes that can get messy (optional) Pencil and paper for taking notes MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Tia Wilson is an artist, illustrator, and comic maker from Germantown, Maryland. They received their Bachelors degree in Illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2024 and recently completed a Studio Internship at Pyramid. Tia explores culture, experience, and identity through paintings, installation work, printmaking, and comic art. Tia has exhibited work around the DMV and Rochester, NY.
