Maker Kids: Tween Book Club and STEM Challenge (ages 8-12)

Youth Program Space. The Round Rock Public Library will host a Tween Book Club in October. Tweens are invited to read and discuss the graphic novel I Survived the Sinking of the Titanic, 1912 by Lauren Tarshis. Participants will put their engineering skills to the test by designing and building a lifeboat that can float and safely hold all the Titanic's passengers. Join us in the second-floor Youth Program Room for an afternoon of books, creativity, and hands-on fun! FREE. All supplies provided. For more information, please contact the Youth Reference Desk at 512-218-7002. A limited supply of books is available for registered attendees. The book is also available for check-out with your library card. Participants only need to register if they would like a book club copy of the book. Participants who are supplying their own copy of the book do not need to register. While book club selections are chosen specifically by and for tweens, parents may still wish to review the content for appropriateness for their child(ren).
