About this event
Join Make Space, a monthly program designed to inspire and support your creativity. Whether you're exploring new materials, seeking feedback, or just looking for a stress-free outlet. Make Space will now be offered as one monthly session at a new day and time. Participants can expect a creative, welcoming experience that includes engaging projects with local artists, access to a wide variety of arts and crafts supplies, and support from our Fine Arts librarian. Whether you bring your own materials for ongoing projects or explore something new with provided supplies, Make Space is a stress-free environment to create, connect, and be inspired. All abilities welcome! Now Available as one Monthly Session! New Time: Thursdays, 2-4pm August's session will feature a Clay Exploration Workshop. Ever wanted to try working with clay but weren't sure where to start? This hands-on workshop is the perfect opportunity to explore the basics of clay in a fun, creative, and relaxed environment. Throughout this two-hour program, you'll have the chance to experiment with a variety of clay types, including air-dry clay, polymer clay, natural clay, and modeling clay. Learn how each type differs in texture, flexibility, drying methods, and best uses while creating small projects to take home. This is a great way to discover which clay best fits your interests without purchasing multiple materials. Librarians will be on hand to demonstrate techniques, offer tips, and answer questions as you create. Whether you're discovering clay for the first time or looking to refresh your skills, this workshop provides a welcoming space to experiment, learn, and enjoy the creative process—no special equipment or previous experience required. All materials will be provided, and participants are encouraged to let their imaginations lead the way. All ages and skill levels are welcome! As always, feel free to bring your own projects or supplies to explore your own creative practice.
