Loft, Cherrydale Library. The hottest game in the world is at Cherrydale! Mahjong, meaning “sparrow” in Chinese, is a game of strategy, skill, and a bit of luck. Originating in China, it spread internationally, evolving into different regional styles. The Library provides two sets of tiles and two tables for players to trade off, appropriate for the Hong Kong, Taiwanese or American versions of the game. Bring friends or make some new ones! NOTE: No instructors are provided for this event. For library patrons 14 . NO REGISTRATION. First-come, first-served seating. For more information, call Cherrydale Library at 703-228-6330. Cherrydale's Loft and public restrooms are only accessible by stairs.
