Formed in Los Angeles in 1977 and led by the confrontational and charismatic frontman Lee Ving, FEAR became known for their blistering speed, razor-sharp musicianship, and an intentionally provocative sense of humor that pushed the boundaries of punk culture. Blending hardcore aggression with rock-and-roll grooves and dark satire, FEAR carved out a reputation as one of the most unpredictable and explosive live acts of the era.
