She keeps company with some of the finest players in the region, musicians she counts among her best friends. Last year Powell released her second album, *Making Room for the Light*, a gauzy, late-afternoon skinny-dip of a session featuring her ethereal originals. She’s focusing on this folk-inspired material at the Gardens, bringing a taste of the verdant natural setting where she recorded the album in a Vancouver Island-adjacent studio.
