Lunch Bunch - Creativity, Collaboration, & Community

Meghan Cardwell-Wilson is a dance artist and educator who has spent her career moving between the studio, the stage, and the classroom. She is a Professor of Dance and Dance Discipline Lead at Collin College and also performs with Full Circle Dance. Previously, she spent a decade with Muscle Memory Dance Theatre (M2DT) as a performer, choreographer, and company manager. In this Lunch Bunch, Meghan shares honest reflections on what it really looks like to build a life in the arts. Two truths often sit side by side for her: working in the arts is a privilege, and burnout is real. She talks about how those experiences have shaped the way she approaches creativity, collaboration, and community. Rather than pushing through exhaustion, Meghan explores what it can look like to redesign the creative process so it feels more connected, supported, and even joyful. She’ll share practical shifts she’s made in her own work to keep collaboration energizing instead of draining, for herself and the people she creates with. Lunch Bunch Speaker Series is an informal conversation around topics of interest to members and nonmembers. Lunch is not provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. All are welcome.
