Blue Star Families Welcome Week is a national initiative aimed at fostering a sense of belonging and community for military families. It is designated to help ease transition challenges and support military families as they integrate into new communities. The week runs from September 26 to October 4, 2025, and includes various events and activities to create connections and build support for military families. BPL would like to welcome all Blue Star families, especially military families recently based in Brooklyn to our Love your Library Day Celebration. We will have family storytime, where we read, sing, and create art. Sign you up for library cards. We will also have beneficial resources from our immediate community partners to assist your transition to our borough, and giveaways.
