Love Evolving, Threads Dance Project Anniversary Show

Threads Dance Project celebrates 15 years of engaging audiences with its retrospective show, Love Evolving. Since its beginnings in 2011, Threads has continually sought to elevate LOVE by telling “human justice” stories, narratives that highlight the universal dignity of humanity, strive to increase access to power, and further progress towards a more loving, just, and equitable society. Love Evolving catalyzes storytelling to elevate love as an essential determinant of the ultimate success or failure in America to create a more perfect union. Join Threads as we celebrate stories – from the most personal stories of Threads’ Founder Karen Charles’ reflections as a Black woman in America to more universal stories about loss, joy, and identity. Threads alumni will be part of this landmark 15th-year celebration. Additionally, Threads will debut a new dance piece, Tell Me A Story, which is inspired by two stories from the community, selected by a panel in response to four Threads photographs. Themes of historic lynching will be depicted in this show.
