The Wicked Hop/Jackalope Lounj are proud to present Lounj Acts: A live music series presenting the best in local and regional bands in an intimate setting every Thursday. All ages welcome, never a cover charge! Thursday October 8th, 7-9pm presenting Swaying Daisies Swaying Daisies is Kelli Gonzalez (Hungry Williams/Circa 79) and JeffStehr (Still No Tomatoes/The Tritonics) Band backstory: World Roots, Brave New Groove, Mark Truesdell & The Lost Pioneers, C-Food Buffet, The Tritonic, Mike Benign Compulsion, The Best Westerns & Still No Tomatoes. Vibe is intimate song-centric performances that put vocal harmonies front & center. The set list - a blend of covers and originals - exides from The Beatles as our big bang, but ten orbits the best the best of pop, rock, R&B, soul and folk music of the last 50 years. Tight, distilled arrangements of all of the above cast a pair of voices as the main actors, with piano, guitar, ukulele, glockenspiel and hand percussion filling out the rest of the ensemble. Performances aim to conjure the intimacy of Simon & Garfunkel, Crosby Stills & Nash or Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, as interpreted by two lifelong devotees of songs and songwriting.
