Longarm Quilting Training

Learn the operations and create using Central's Longarm Quilter and Pro-Stitcher! Patrons will be introduced to the Handi-Quilter Moxie and get hands-on instruction on how to prepare and load their projects onto the machine, operate the Longarm, practice safe habits, and learn about the different stitch modes. Patrons will also be introduced to the Pro-Stitcher, a computerized quilting system integrated with the Makerspace's HQ Moxie. After training, Patrons can schedule an appointment with Makerspace staff to operate and use the HQ Moxie. Patrons are expected to have a working knowledge of operation of a domestic sewing machine before operation on the longarm and will have to go through the Makerspace's Sewing Training Checklist before registration. This checklist can be completed during the Makerspace's open hours of operation or via appointment. Patrons looking for training on domestic sewing machines should attend Sewing Help sessions, Fridays 2:00-4:00 P.M.
