LOCATION CHANGE -Shut Up & Write!® TIGARD Writers' Space
**Location Change** **The library building is closed for renovations until May 1, 2026.** **co-hosts Carol & Jessica** Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 6:00 pm on Thursday evenings. Our events are a safe space for writers to work on their craft, be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff. Members often talk about their successes and challenges as writers. No one will read or critique your writing but some writers do voluntarily share aloud a sample of their work. **SCHEDULE:** 6:00: Meet and Greet Each week a different host opens the session with a brief icebreaker. 6:15 : Write for an hour 7:15 : check in with group, continue to write, or simply leave Being Late is Okay: Just show up and get settled, If you are on time, please be willing to make room for any friendly latecomers. **What Should I Bring?** Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want **Other Important Details:** \*Ava is a place of business so consider purchasing a drink or food. \*We sometimes meet outside of regular times at designated locations to share food and write from a prompt to share. Make sure you are on our email list to receive notices about all our events.
