About this event
Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival through art and culture! Participants will learn basic Chinese calligraphy brush techniques and discover the festival’s traditions. We will explore the customs and symbolism of the Mid-Autumn Festival, then practice writing auspicious phrases related to the moon and reunion. Each participant will create a unique fan-shaped paper lantern, beautifully decorated with their own brushwork — a perfect piece to take home and enjoy during the festival evening. *In-person registration begins at the Millbrae Library on Monday, August 31 at 10:00 AM. Due to a limited number of spots, each patron may only register themselves plus one. Online registration begins Sunday, September 06 at 10:30 AM.
