Life is Material

LIFE IS MATERIAL A Comedy & Storytelling Showcase Real Stories. Unexpected Laughs. Genuine Connection. Because everybody has a story worth telling—and some are just too good to keep to yourself! Life is full of hilarious mishaps, questionable decisions, unexpected adventures, and moments that change us forever. And sometimes, the best way to make sense of it all is to get on stage and tell the story! Welcome to Life Is Material, a live comedy and storytelling showcase at Rise Comedy, where talented comedians and storytellers turn real-life experiences into unforgettable entertainment. Featuring performers from Denver’s comedy and storytelling community, including standout voices from our weekly Storytelling Open Mic, this showcase brings together funny, heartfelt, outrageous, and deeply relatable stories. Some stories will have you laughing until your sides hurt. Others might tug at your heartstrings. And a few will leave you wondering, “Did that really happen?” Unlike traditional stand-up comedy, this show gives performers room to take you on a journey—with unexpected twists, memorable characters, honest moments, and plenty of laughs along the way. Whether you’re a comedy lover, a storytelling enthusiast, or simply looking for a different kind of night out in Denver, Life Is Material delivers something we can all relate to: the wonderfully unpredictable experience of being human. Come for the Laughs. Stay for the Stories! Put down your phone, grab your friends, and experience the kind of stories that are even better when shared in person. Real people. Real experiences. Stories worth sharing. Get your tickets at RiseComedy.com and discover why life really is the best material!
