Level Crossing Brewery Wednesday Open Mic (Covers and originals allowed!)

The Level Crossing open mic is back! Now every Wednesday! Come get some delicious wood-grilled pizza and award-winning beer, and either sign up to perform, or just hang out and listen. Sign-up list goes out at 6:30 PM and performances start at 7. We will be wrapping things up at 9:30 as the brewery closes at 10. **OPEN MIC EXPECTATIONS FOR PERFORMERS:** **We hope you can join us. Please read the expectations below before you sign up:** 1. **SET UP/PLAY WITHIN YOUR ALLOTTED TIME:** 1. **Sets are 3 songs (15 min. maximum.) Host may extend sets as needed.** 2. **Use the two mics, two instrument cables, and speakers provided. If you have other equipment, host may or may not be able to accommodate you depending on set-up time required.** 3. **Tune and be ready to go when it is your turn.** 4. **Due to past problems, the host will not lend his guitar.** 5. **No full drum kits. This is an acoustic open mic. Hand percussion is allowed.** 6. **We don’t provide backing tracks, equipment for playing backing tracks, or house musicians who play songs that you want to sing. Provide your own accompaniment.** 2. **CONSIDER YOUR AUDIENCE:** 1. **We aren’t limited to specific genres, but the overall “vibe” is folk, blues, country, soul, pop, etc. Covers and originals are allowed.** 2. **Spoken word performances are allowed, but it might be hard to get the audience's attention.** 3. **If you play music that involves loud screaming, is long and repetitive, has lyrics that might be offensive to a reasonable person, or is noisy and “alternative,” please find an open mic that caters to your style and community.** 4. **Host will not let you play if you are too intoxicated.** 5. **Avoid political speeches or religious preaching.** 6. **This is not a listening room, so patrons will visit with friends, etc. during your performance.** 3. **RESPECT OTHER PERFORMERS:** 1. **Refrain from jamming along with performers unless they invite you on stage.
