Let's Watch The Phantom of the Opera (1925)

Update 10/13 (as I saw this posted from PaperHouse Theatre) this event is sold out! PaperHouse Theatre is presenting The Phantom of the Opera (1925) featuring a live score improvised by Kate Bankston on Sunday 10/25 at VisArt Video. One Night Only! Join us at the show. Tickets are $10.00- this includes all taxes and fees- and can be purchased here. Seating is limited, I recommend purchasing tickets early. VisArt Cafe will be open during the show for concessions. Showtime starts at 7:00 pm. About the film (from PaperHouse Theatre's website): "Released in 1925, The Phantom of the Opera is one of the great landmarks of silent cinema and one of the defining performances of Lon Chaney's career. Chaney's unforgettable Phantom haunts the Paris Opera House, secretly watching over Christine Daaé as she rises from chorus girl to celebrated soprano. But when Christine's love for another man threatens the Phantom's fantasy of having her for himself, his obsession turns increasingly dangerous. Featuring Lon Chaney in one of the most iconic performances in movie history." This event has been crossposted with Narrative Reflections.
