This presentation provides a practical overview for self-represented litigants navigating the court process. Participants will learn how a case proceeds from filing through trial, the basics of admitting exhibits into evidence, and how to effectively present testimony and other evidence to the judge. We will also discuss testifying as your own witness, calling and questioning other witnesses, understanding what information the court can and cannot consider, and handling cross-examination by an attorney or another self-represented party. The presentation will be given by a Staff Attorney with Colorado Legal Services for informational purposes only. We cannot give case-specific legal advice regarding your issue.
