Inspired by the festival theme, Make Your Mark, this curated activation willbring together poets, singers, rappers, dancers, musicians, and spoken word artists. TheLegacy Cypher expands upon the traditions of the cypher by creating a collaborative artisticdialogue while showcasing the diverse creative talent found throughout Montgomery and thesurrounding region. Ira Crayton Artist Name: Zandoe Zandoe is a Montgomery rapper, singer and songwriter blending jazz and Southern hip-hop with honest reflections on healing, love and perseverance. Justice Williams Justice Will is a multifaceted artist and firefighter exploring vulnerability, self-expression and the human experience through poetry and visual art. Isaiah Adams Artist Name: Martin Zae Martin Zae is a Montgomery music artist, saxophonist and instructor blending hip-hop, alternative sounds and musicianship into his creative work. Madison Bailey Madison is a Montgomery singer-songwriter and poet using storytelling to explore identity, community, advocacy, culture and legacy. Erika Aponte Erika is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist, drummer and singer blending global influences and lived experiences into genre-bending music. Myiesha Foreman Artist Name: Alma Alma is an interdisciplinary artist from Ohio bringing her creative voice to Montgomery through poetry, performance and artistic expression. Curated by Mara Jay, Founder of Let ‘Em Speak Mara Jay is a Creative Arts Curator and Literary Arts Advocate who reimagines literature through spoken word, art, sound, and immersive experiences.
