B. King, Clarence Carter, Dr. John, Denise LaSalle, and Bobby Womack, among many others. Originally from Wilson, North Carolina, Lee has been recording since 1969, spanning soul, funk, and R&B. His more recent work with The Expressions includes the albums Faithful Man and Special Night. Fields’ music can be found in all aspects of popular culture, including movie soundtracks, popular TV shows, video games, and samples by artists from J. Cole to Slum Village. Monophonics, hailing from the Bay Area, are one of America’s premier soul bands, blending classic soul, psychedelic rock, heavy funk, and timeless songwriting. Anchored by Kelly Finnigan’s powerful vocals and vintage organ, their cinematic sound honors the Bay Area’s diverse musical heritage, from Sly Stone to Haight-Ashbury’s psychedelic era. Known for raw, analog recordings and electrifying live performances, the band captures authentic soul energy through live rhythm sessions and meticulous production.
