Learning Circles: Picture Book Workshop

Meeting Room. Welcome to Learning Circles, a collaboration between the library’s diverse collection of educational resources and a community that’s ready to learn! Each session focuses on a unique topic and features resources from online platforms such as Udemy, Kanopy, and more. Library staff will present the featured resources, facilitate discussions and suggest additional resources for further learning. The topic for this Learning Circle is Picture Books, and features the following video resource: 'Pitch Ready Picturebook'. From the official video description: “Have you ever been curious about what it takes to make and pitch a picture book? In this Creativebug class, Sanae Ishida uses examples of her own published books and takes you step-by-step through the process of designing an illustrated book for children...By the end of the class, you’ll be ready to confidently share your picture book idea with the world.” This program is presented by library staff.
