About this event

Jana Wu, LCSW, LADC, CASAC-M, Director of Clinical Integration at Mountain Treatment Center, will discuss what kratom and 7-OH are, new products and trends, warning signs and health risks, and where individuals and families can find help. Her work and expertise on kratom and 7-OH have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone and iHeartRadio. The discussion comes as federal health officials have raised concerns about concentrated 7-OH products also known as “gas station heroin”, which are being sold in gas stations and smoke shops and may be marketed as “natural.” New 7-OH products are significantly more potent and act like an opioid. Open to the public, the event is presented by Mountainside Treatment Center and the SUNY Rockland Community College CASAC Program. Location – 6 pm, Rockland Community College, Tech Center Ellipse, 145 College Road, Suffern.
