About this event
THIS PROGRAM IS FULL, email admin@carriagebarn.org for waitlist. Join a Carriage Barn group guided tour with art historian and Met insider Dr. Page Knox. Featuring over 120 works from more than 80 U.S. and international lenders, this exhibition marks the first major New York presentation of either artist’s work in over two decades—and their first at The Met. Krasner and Pollock: Past Continuous is a major exhibition that charts the full arc of the careers of Lee Krasner (1908–1984) and Jackson Pollock (1912–1956) in parallel, examining the distinct yet connected practices of these artistic peers and life partners. It marks the first major New York presentation devoted to either artist in more than 20 years, introducing their work to a new generation while reassessing their enduring impacts on modern and contemporary art. Dr. Page Knox is an adjunct professor in the Art History Department of Columbia University. She works in a variety of capacities as a contractual lecturer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art where she gives public gallery talks and lectures in special exhibitions as well as the permanent collection, teaches classes at the museum, and leads groups for Indagare and Travel with the Met. Space is limited. $85 for Carriage Barn members and $105 for non-members. Please note registration and payment for this program is non-refundable. In the event you must cancel, we will consider your purchase a donation and will happily issue you a donation receipt.
