KPR Live Day 2026

Kansas Public Radio invites you to experience the joys of classical music with us and our community during Live Day at Lawrence Public Library! Join us for an entire day of free classical music concerts, featuring performances by the talented local musicians. Want to attend over your lunch break? JB's Tacos will be on site offering delicious Cali Fusion burritos from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. To cap off the evening, join us back at the library at 7 p.m. for the down-home country flair of Classical Cowgirl, and host of KPR’s Morning Classical, Destiny Ann Mermagen. Put on your flannel and boots and grab a partner; it's sure to be a swingin' evening! Admission is free and open to the public as space allows. School, retirement, and community groups are welcome to attend. If you'd like to bring a group to Live Day,
