Feel the power of Japanese taiko drumming as Kodo returns to Symphony Center. This legendary ensemble of master percussionists brings a centuries-old tradition to electrifying life through physical command, pinpoint precision and majestic choreography. The new One Earth theme, Luminance, pays homage to Japanese composer Maki Ishii’s groundbreaking Monochrome while unveiling new works inspired by the colors, landscapes and encounters the ensemble has absorbed on its global journeys.
