Kirtan Meditation & Plant Based Dinner at Pause Meditation in Portland, OR on Friday, May 22, 2026.
What it’s all about: Kirtan is a call and response musical meditation from the yoga tradition, considered the most potent form of meditation in this day and age. Singing these powerful transcendental sound vibrations together cleanses the heart and the mind of stress and anxiety and brings peace to the soul. Come for a homemade plant-based dinner at the start of the program, made with love by our volunteer community. At 7pm, we’ll open our meditation with a guided breathing practice and a resonant mantra circle that takes you deep into a meditative space. Then, sing along with ancient healing mantras set to sweet tunes, and relax or move and dance as you feel inspired. At the end, we’ll have some time to integrate with sivasana and final gratitudes. Staying for the full container is extra powerful, but you’re welcome to arrive and leave as you need. Beginners highly encouraged, all ages, voices and experiences welcome!
