Kindness Comic-Con

Kindness Comic-Con Calling all heroes! Dress as your favorite superhero—or create a heroic look of your own—and join us for a celebration of creativity, encouragement, and everyday acts of kindness. Attendees will create their own kindness superhero comics, imagining characters whose powers come from helping others and inspiring positive change. They can also contribute encouraging notes, mini-poems, funny pep talks, and affirmations to our “Take What You Need” Kindness Wall for fellow library visitors. Come create, encourage others, and discover how even the smallest act of kindness can be a superpower! Each participant creates a short comic about an ordinary person becoming a “kindness superhero.” Provide folded printer paper and pencils, crayons, or markers. Their comic should include: A character who notices someone needs help A small act of kindness An unexpected chain reaction A superhero name and kindness-themed power Finish with an optional comic-gallery walk. Display the finished comics in the children’s area for the remainder of the week. Age group: Juniors (8-14), Young Adults (15-17). Event type: Celebration.
