Keep Omaha Beautiful Nature Storytime

Meeting Room 1. What can you do with a box? Build a castle, a spaceship, a cozy forest, or an entirely new city… the possibilities are endless! Join Keep Omaha Beautiful for a reading of What to Do with a Box by Jane Yolen. After the story, we’ll head outside on a nature walk to collect natural treasures and creative inspiration. Back inside, we will work together to transform repurposed boxes and our found natural materials into an imaginative play space where creativity takes center stage. If you have an extra cardboard box lying around, bring it along to add to our community creation! This free event is designed for kids, ages 0-5, but older siblings are welcome to join. This program does not require registration. Childcare groups and other groups larger than 10, please call in advance. All Omaha Public Library locations are wheelchair accessible. Need sign language interpretation or other accessibility assistance for this event? Please email Nancy Novotny at NNovotny@omahalibrary.org to request accommodation. Requests must be made at least five business days before the activity or event.
