Please join us as Katie Foag and several contributing poets read from a community-based poetry anthology, Voices of Neighbors. Voices of Neighbors is a community anthology bringing together 61 poets and 81 poems written in response to Operation Metro Surge and its impact on Minnesota communities. Organized into four responsive movements—Resistance, Remembrance, Love, and Hope—this collection invites reflection on what it means to stand with neighbors in the face of injustice. All proceeds benefit immigrant-support organizations in Minnesota. Katie Foag is a Minneapolis community member who discovered her poetic voice as a way to process current events and make sense of the world around her. She created Voices of Neighbors to bring together poets responding to Operation Metro Surge and the experiences of their communities.
