Karaoke Night @ Boombox!!

Hey everyone! It's been awhile since we popped over to boombox for a karaoke night, so let's swing by before it gets too busy! Our usual stop after Boombox is Freeplay, so that's likely where we'll end up after :D If you've never been to Boombox it's a blast. Likely the only dedicated karaoke bar in the city (likely the state) they're the best spot to sing for those of us brave enough to take the mic. If you have a little stage freight, Boombox is on the smaller side. Which means the crowd isn't too big, and you won't be on a stage like you see at other karaoke nights. Singers mingle with the crowd which makes the experience feel far less intense. Plus pick a popular song and the bar is likely to join in since it feels more like a communal experience than a performance. Obviously if singing isn't your thing, everyone is welcome to just hang out and enjoy the fun without taking the mic. We'd never pressure anyone to sing. Boombox is a Japanese inspired bar with it's karaoke focus obviously, but also with it's signature drinks. The Love Cat is always a crowd favorite and it comes in an adorable lucky cat mug. They have plenty of interesting signature drinks, but their bar options are a little limited outside of their menu. They have plenty of canned options and sake if you're in the mood. We'll stick around Boombox for a couple hours until everyone is karaoke-d out lol Then we'll likely walk over to Freeplay since that's our usual spot after karaoke. Freeplay does have a cover (you can pay by card) but you get a lot for your money. There is unlimited play on the downstairs arcade machines which include classic cabinets, DDR, skeeball, airhocky, pinball, and more. In the summer months they often have a cover band in the courtyard, not sure if that will be the case that night but we'll see.
