New in June - Beginner West Coast Swing Series Date: Mondays, June 1 through June 29 Class: West Coast Swing 7-8:30 pm Instructor: Mike Recant Cost: $15/person per class This is your chance to start your West Coast Swing journey! Join us on Monday evenings in June for a WCS series beginner class. The class will start from scratch with teaching basic WCS beginner skills and will progress through the five sessions to cover WCS technique for the core pushes, passes and whips. This is a repeat of the Beginner Plus Series from earlier this year. The material to be included: WCS Technique: * Dance frame (connection, lead&follow) * Slot * Timing * Foot technique * Starter Step * Anchoring (anchor step, posting) WCS Patterns: * Sugar Push (Push Break) * Left Side Pass * Underarm Turn (Right Side Pass) * Sugar Tuck * Passing Tuck * Inside Turn (roll) * Right Torque Turn * Basket Whip * Whip (three endings) The class assumes no prior knowledge of West Coast Swing.
