His latest album, Broadcast to the Surf Ballroom, is an ambitious tribute to the unfinished musical legacy of Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens. Inspired by their final demos and recordings, Josué reimagines the songs they never had the chance to complete, honoring their spirit while bringing his own voice and vision to the music. Recorded with a raw, live-band energy, the album celebrates the timeless influence of two rock 'n' roll pioneers while reflecting Josué's deep personal connection to their music—artists who inspired him to first pick up a guitar. Josué's acclaimed debut, Beneath the Sand, established him as a compelling storyteller, blending Chicano soul, folk, and rock with bilingual songwriting shaped by his travels through Mexico and Central America.
