About this event
William Jeanes Board Room. Applying for jobs can be a lonely and disheartening experience. The whole process is shadowed by the fact that applicants don't know what happens after they submit their application. And the general lack of communication from potential employers only deepens the mystery. Good news! The library is now offering Job Application Meetup, a 90-minute open session where applicants can work on any stage of their application in a friendly, supportive group setting. You will receive help from a subject matter expert (SME) and have the opportunity to learn best practices in micro-workshops. These sessions are for online applications only and require participants to have a digital resume. Your SME is Megan Haupt. Megan has 20 years of experience in career coaching. She has worked at four area universities as an advisor to students and grads, as well as working with employers for their hiring needs. Megan ran an independent coaching practice (Brio Career) for 13 years, helping hundreds of job seekers land meaningful, gainful employment. She is especially passionate about helping clients understand and optimize their applications in today's application systems. Laptops are available to borrow if needed. This session is meant for those with digital resumes, applying for online jobs. If you have only a paper resume or need computer help, please stop by our Reference Desk for help.
