About this event

Join us for this unique double-bill performance event featuring two exhibiting artists from Unearthing Futures / Desenterrando Futuros, Joanna Keane Lopez & Santino Gonzales. Noche Blanca is a music project of Joanna Keane Lopez. The songs are intuitive melodies and incantations drawn from the night, the moon, the stars, walks along the acequias, loss and love. Immaculate Constellation, is a live performance by Santino Gonzales where music, memory, and time blur. Through layers of ambient guitar, field recordings, messages from loved ones, and illuminated by archival home video, Tino invites listeners to tune-in closely. (Insert date and time, etc.) This performance is made possible with generous support by the Richard B. Siegel Foundation. About the Artists Joanna Keane Lopez (New Mexico) presents Energetic Materials, a multimedia installation combining adobe construction, archival research, and video to examine the legacy of land use and militarization in New Mexico’s Tularosa Basin. Keane Lopez has exhibited nationally, including at SITE Santa Fe and The Momentary at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, and has received support from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Santino Gonzales (New Mexico) transforms adobe into a medium of transmission, embedding radio and sound technologies within earthen forms so memory and signal move through space and distance. A Dedalus Foundation Fellow, Gonzales’s installation and video works have been exhibited internationally and explore connections between land, technology, and speculative futures rooted in the New Mexican landscape. Experience Immaculate Constellation, a live performance by Santino Gonzales where music, memory, and time blur. Through layers of ambient guitar, field recordings, messages from loved ones, and illuminated by archival home video, Tino invites listeners to tune-in closely. (Insert date and time, etc.)
