Ravel & Shostakovich Step into a world of magic, wit and brilliance with three orchestral gems led by Andrew Litton, Music Director of the New York City Ballet and Conductor Laureate of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Award-winning pianist Avery Gagliano brings sparkle and jazz-inflected flair to Ravel's Piano Concerto in G Major, preceded by the delicate enchantment of Mother Goose, alive with shimmering color and fairy-tale imagination. Shostakovich's Symphony No. 9 caps the evening with nimble humor, sharp turns and irreverent charm - an unexpected and delightful close to a program full of personality.
