Raised in Des Moines, Iowa and based out of the American Riviera in Southern California, Jared Nels is a world class yodeler and touring songwriter who performed over 240 shows in 2025. His original music creates a diverse blend of Bluegrass, Country Western, R&B, and Funk, with influences ranging from Jimi Hendrix, Billy Strings, Jeff Buckley, Hank Williams, Eddie Van Halen, Jimmie Rodgers, and more. Jared’s passion and talent have taken him on several tours across the USA, and he was featured on American Idol Season 18 where he sang his original song “California Yodeler”.
