About this event
Double Room (114 115). Please join the Irondequoit Art Club and the Irondequoit Public Library for a hands-on instruction class led by Betty Zarcone. From the Japanese, translating approximately to “silk painting” or “fabric painting,” kinusaiga is a no-sew fabric art that uses simple tools and relaxing, hands-on techniques to create vibrant mosaic images. Using fabric remnants, scissors, and a punch tool applied to an adhesive foam board, participants will design a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Betty Zarcone is a self-taught artist who works with acrylic, pencil and ink, and collage and fabric. The Irondequoit Public Library is committed to creating inclusive and accessible events. To request a reasonable accommodation or discuss your needs, please contact one of our Inclusion Coordinators or call the library at 585-336-6060.
