Room #113. Join us for a discussion of There There by Tommy Orange. Book copies are available across from the first-floor circulation desk for a month-long checkout. The book is also available through the Libby app as an e-book and an audiobook. In his literary debut, Orange follows twelve people from various walks of life as they make their way to the Big Oakland Powwow, each looking for different things. A multi-generational, relentlessly paced story about violence and recovery, hope and loss, identity and power, dislocation and communion, and the beauty and despair woven into the history of a nation and its people. Registration is not required and new members are always welcome! The Irondequoit Public Library is committed to creating inclusive and accessible events.
