In this course, we will focus on the techniques set forth by the Ecole Des Beaux Arts, a French Academy that turned out some of the best artists of the 19th century. Working from Drawings by Charles Bargue and from Classical Casts, you will have the opportunity to learn the techniques of Sight Size and Comparative Measurement in order to accurately draw what you see...and have fun! Working in Graphite and Charcoal, students will learn the language of the line and the beauty of these traditional mediums. You will feel like you are transported right into a French academy!
