About this event

Step into the world of 3D modeling with this fun, hands-on workshop designed for kids and teens! Participants will learn the basics of 3D design using free, beginner-friendly software like TinkerCAD or SketchUp. Students will follow step-by-step guidance to create and personalize their own 3D keychain model using custom text, shapes, and patterns. Each participant will work on their own device with live instructor support throughout. There will be a live demonstration of the 3D printer working. Participants may receive a 3D printed giveaway upon participation. If we run out of time, participants are welcome to come join our Maker Lab on the first Wednesday of each month from 3-5pm to have their designs printed. Free. For ages 9 and up. Basic computer familiarity required (no prior 3D design experience needed). Computers and space are limited. You are welcome to bring your own laptop. Registration required: Please only register if you plan to attend. If you are unable to attend, please be sure to cancel your registration at least 24 hours in advance, giving staff time to contact people on the waitlist. ADA Accommodation Requests
