Learn how to pick the right power tools for your woodworking project – and how to use them safely! No prior experience needed for this free class. * Due to overwhelming interest, we ask that you please RSVP here on Meetup.\* If the event is full or the time doesn’t work for you, have no fear — we will host this event again in future months! We’ll cover the basics of power saws, drills, and sanders, and best practices for working in a shared woodshop. You’ll get familiar with the tools we have out on the shop floor: our miter saw, band saw, table saw, drill press, and belt sander. This class should give you the confidence and fundamentals to get started on your own projects; just come by and use the woodshop any time the tool library is open! Please wear close-toed shoes and avoid dangling hair, clothing, or accessories. Make sure you’ve [created a MyTurn account](https://capitolhill.myturn.com/library/createUser/create) beforehand so that you can sign our waivers. *\*Current Sustainable Capitol Hill volunteers can always join this intro (i.e. current tool library volunteers can join even if RSVPs are full and there's a waitlist, because all volunteers are encouraged to build their woodshop confidence).*
