About this event

Do Space. Curious about longarm quilting? This one-hour demonstration introduces the basics of using a longarm quilting machine, including threading the machine, exploring different stitch options, and adjusting settings for comfort and ease of use. You'll also learn how a quilt sandwich is loaded onto the frame and how quilters move through each section of a project to complete the quilting process. This informational session is a great introduction for anyone interested in learning more about longarm quilting and how these machines work. This is a free event for adults 19+. Space is limited and registration is required. All Omaha Public Library locations are wheelchair accessible. Need sign language interpretation or other accessibility assistance for this event? Please email Nancy Novotny at NNovotny@omahalibrary.org to request accommodation. Requests must be made at least five business days before the activity or event.
