In this three-hour presentation, DNA expert and instructor Glenn York will explain the major types of DNA testing used in genealogy research: Y-DNA testing for males, mitochondrial (mtDNA) testing for females, and the popular autosomal DNA tests available to both. Glenn will cover the four main testing companies, their primary tests, and how each can serve as a valuable tool in your genealogy research. He will also discuss which tests are best suited for solving different genealogy challenges. Handouts will be provided.
