Indy Bitcoin Meetup #56 - A Nostr Quickstart

Our next meetup will be on Wednesday, May 20th, from 7–9 p.m. at Union Jack Pub in Broad Ripple. This month, Logan will be giving a beginner-friendly presentation called “A Nostr Quickstart.” We’ll cover what Nostr is, why Bitcoiners are talking about it, and how to get started using it without getting lost in technical details. The goal is to get people participating as quickly as possible, and if you’re ambitious, you might even be posting on Nostr before you leave the meetup. The presentation will start promptly at 7:30, followed by open Q&A and discussion. If you haven’t been to a meetup yet, we meet on the third Wednesday of every month. Newcomers are always welcome! We’ve been averaging 25–30 guests per meetup, and there’s always a handful of new faces. It doesn’t matter if you’re a longtime Bitcoiner or brand new to the space - everyone is welcome. Free drinks will be provided by our friends at Megawatt! Megawatt is a Bitcoin mining company that was founded at our meetup.
