San Mateo County Libraries is excited to host our fourth annual Indie Author Fest, on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Millbrae Library, from 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM! Come join us for an experience full of bookish and writerly fun, including: A book fair A presentation on publishing by a publishing agent A panel discussion on Publishing Independently Together Speed Friending for a writing or critique partner! A celebration of readers and writers alike, Indie Author Fest is a space designed to create connections and conversations around a shared love of stories. Indie Author Fest is open for all bibliophiles to explore, whether you are a dedicated reader, an aspiring writer or someone in search of an enriching literary community. We want to uplift independent authors who took an alternative route to traditional publishing, helping share their work with the world. So, come on down -- and discover your next read, a new favorite writer, some publishing tips, and literary connections!
